Digital treatment planning for clinics and labs
For clinics

Aligners from your own practice, planned by orthodontic specialists

You already have the scanner and the chair. BClear Rx adds the treatment plan, so you can make aligners and retainers in-house with confidence.

Two ways to plan

A plan type that matches how you practise

Choose your specialty when you register: orthodontists plan with Ultimate, other dentists with Express.

For orthodontists

Ultimate

Full control of the prescription for every case, on top of the clinical preferences you set once.

  • AP relationship for the right and left sides, from maintaining it to correcting to Class I
  • Overjet, overbite and midline, with the method for each correction
  • Spaces, and your crowding preferences: expansion, proclination, anterior and posterior IPR
  • A diagnosis picker for major and minor issues
For general dentists

Express

A shorter prescription for simpler cases. Describe the case, set six goals, and the planners handle the detail.

  • Spaces: close them all, or distribute them
  • Crowding: improve it with or without IPR
  • Midline, overjet, overbite and anterior crossbite: keep or improve each

Both plan types let you mark teeth to extract, teeth that must not move and teeth that should have no attachments, and add your own instructions.

Clinical preferences

Set your preferences once, then every plan follows them

Ultimate accounts save their clinical preferences in the portal. Each new case starts from them, and you can still change the prescription case by case.

  • Staging limits

The most each aligner may move a tooth: in millimetres for extrusion, intrusion and bodily movement, in degrees for tip, torque and rotation.

  • IPR limits and timing

Your maximum reduction per contact, front and back, and whether alignment comes before or after IPR.

  • Crowding and spaces

Whether to expand, procline or use IPR, and how to close or distribute spaces.

  • Bite and crossbite

Your defaults for the AP relationship, open and deep bites, and posterior crossbite.

  • Aligner features

Cut-outs for Class II and III elastics, bite ramps, an overcorrection aligner, and pontics for missing teeth.

  • Treatment journey

Days per aligner and aligners per follow-up visit, so the plan matches how you see patients.
