Getting started
What is BClear Rx?
BClear Rx is digital treatment planning for clinics and labs that make their own aligners. You send the scans and records, BClear's orthodontic team designs the treatment plan, and you review, approve and manufacture it.
Who can use it?
Orthodontists and general dentists who make aligners in their practice, and dental labs that make aligners for the dentists they work with. Clinics and labs in any country can register.
How do I open an account?
Register in the BClear portal as a clinic or a dental lab, then enter the six-digit code we email you. The code is valid for one day. Choose your specialty as you register, and your account is ready as soon as the email is verified.
Should I use Ultimate or Express?
Ultimate is for orthodontists: a detailed prescription on top of saved clinical preferences. Express is for general dentists treating simpler cases: six goals, each kept or improved, and the planners handle the detail. The specialty you choose when you register decides which one your account uses.
Cases and records
Which files do I need to send?
Upper and lower intraoral scans as STL, OBJ or PLY files, plus a bite scan if you have one. Add clinical photos (up to eight views, JPG or PNG) and an OPG or cephalometric X-ray. The more complete the records, the better the plan.
Which tooth numbering does the portal use?
You choose: tooth charts can show FDI or Universal numbering.
How long does a plan take?
BClear's terms commit to a digital treatment plan within 3 working days of case submission. You get a notification when the plan is ready to review.
What if I want changes to the plan?
Tell the planner in the case discussion, or reject the plan in PlanStudio. The planners prepare a new version, and every version stays in the case.
What do I receive after approving a plan?
Print-ready files: a template STL and one STL for each step of the plan. BClear prepares them after you approve, then you download them one by one or as a single zip, ready for your printer.
How do refinements work?
Upload a refinement scan to the case during treatment. The planners prepare a new version of the plan from it, and you review it in PlanStudio the same way.
Bundles and payment
How does pricing work?
Plans are prepaid in bundles. Each bundle sets a price per plan, the number of plans and how long you have to use them; larger bundles have a lower price per plan. Bundles and prices are shown in the portal for your country.
When is a plan used?
Each case you submit uses one plan from your bundle. If BClear does not accept the case, the plan goes back to your bundle. If you cancel before a plan has been sent to you, it comes back too; after that, each bundle allows a number of free cancellations.
Do plans expire?
Yes. All plans in a bundle must be used within the bundle's validity period, which is shown on each bundle.
How do I pay?
By card, in the portal, when you choose a bundle. Payments are taken in Omani rials (OMR); for bundles priced in another currency, the portal converts at a fixed rate and shows the amount before you pay.
Can I get a refund?
A plan is non-refundable once you approve it. Before approval, a partial or full refund may be considered depending on the work already done. Revisions are handled as revisions, not refunds. The refund policy in the portal has the details.
Your team and your patients
Can my team use the same account?
Yes. Add administrators, and assistants or receptionists who can follow every case in your clinic or lab.
Can I show the plan to my patient?
Yes. PlanStudio creates a link that opens the 3D plan, so you can share it with a patient or with the dentist you work with.
Which languages does the portal support?
English, French, German, Spanish, Russian and Turkish.
The portal’s terms and conditions and refund policy apply to every account. If an answer here differs from them, they take precedence.
